Students in a US elementary school now have the perfect place to relax while reading, new bean bag chairs.
According to a local WABI TV 5 newscast, the library at Downeast Elementary School in Maine received a makeover thanks to the Target company’s Take Charge of Education initiative. The library received new shelves, new books and a new reading area for the students.
Bean bag chairs added a relaxing place for the students to enjoy their new books, as well as adding a modern design flair to the new library.
Principal Fournier stated that the students “love coming to the library. They love taking out new books. They love reading, which is just incredible to watch.”
The bean bag furniture in the library reading area has even got the students excited. One student, Jayda Smith, states that with the new library, “I love reading books and I love new books.”
Downeast Elementary is not alone in featuring bean bag chairs in the library. Recently, the John Paul II School in Battersea put bean bags in its new Learning Hub.
